Riptides
Riptides: A T6, five wounds, 2+ armor save monstrous creature!! Also known to me as one of the best units in a non apocalypse game. I however like to run at least 3 riptides every game with at least 2000 points. The riptide is a great overall unit especially when matched up with a marker light or two allowing the riptide to completely ignore cover with its delicious S8 ap2 large blast, instant killing any space marine captains and anything weaker. Also this thing can deep strike and jump 2d6 every turn! I always equip my riptide with a stim injector, just so that i can take those fnp against anything that isn't a Huskblade or a wraithweapon
Cadre fireblades: My best tau friends
I know a lot of people don't realize just how good the Fireblade, lately in all of my games i have been trying to run at least two of these guys. the amount of fire power they give out is just too much look over. In a twelve man squad of fire warriors I'm talking 26 shots of S5 AP5 at 30" and twice the amount within half of that range. In a 2000 point game taking four Fireblades with four twelve man squads that is 104 shots at 30" and with pathfinder support can make these squads extremely powerful. All horde armies are going to go sulk in a corner wondering how all of their troops were wiped out first turn. then all you have to do is bringing some heavy weapons like deepstriking crisis suits, riptides or hammerheads.
New game
I'm creating a new game right now, very excited for when ill be done with it. I've already started creating the
rules and I'm still deciding on how to make "actions" work which are going to be like specials moves you can
make to help you win. Overall though I really think this game will work.
